Rivera Court Stage I | 4:00 P.M. | Rivera Court
Join us for a showcase designed to highlight local, national, and international talent. Rivera Court Stage shares diverse styles of dance with Detroit Dance City Festival audiences in an inspiring museum setting.
Dance On Screen | 5:30 P.M. | Lecture Hall
A new addition to Detroit Dance City Festival, Dance on Screen provides a space for dance filmmakers to present their work. Presented in the Marvin and Betty Danto Lecture Hall, dance on screen highlights local, national, and international dance films in diverse styles of dance.
Choreographers Showcase | 7:30 P.M. | Detroit Film Theater
Providing a platform for Choreographers to present their work on the majestic Detroit Film Theater stage, DDCF's Choreographer showcase is an opportunity to bring together artist and dancers from around the world to share their current projects with each other and with DDCF audiences alike. From among the diverse body of works submitted by our applicants, pieces have been thoughtfully selected to showcase an inclusive representation of local, national, and international talent.

Friday Night- Lights | 9:30 P.M. | The Norwood
Always a highlight of DDCF, Friday Night Lights, formerly known as Friday Dance Party, is an exciting late night event that brings our community together in celebration of dance through a nighttime dance party featuring performances by dance crews and hip hop artists from Detroit and beyond. As the official kick-off of the festival weekend, Friday Night Lights is an evening of celebration, networking, music and movement all in one.

DDCF presents an exciting series of Master Classes, taught by accomplished local, national, and international practitioners in diverse styles of dance. For all dancers ages 13 and up, Master Classes provide unique opportunities to learn from the best in the industry from across the globe.

Dance For Camera Workshop I | 11:30 A.M. | Lecture Hall
Part of DDCF’s Master Class series, Dance for the Camera I is a new addition to the festival. The workshop, taught by Kelsey Paschich, is the perfect opportunity for dancers and aspiring dance for camera filmmakers to learn skills within choreography, performance, camera work and editing skills.

DDCF's "Rivera Court Stage" is a series of performance showcases taking place in Rivera Court located in the beautiful atrium of the Detroit Institute of Arts. This unique showcase is designed to highlight local, national, and international talent, sharing diverse styles of dance with DDCF audiences in an inspiring museum setting.
Summer Stage I | 2:30 P.M. | Lawn
Bring the family with blankets and lawn chairs in tow to enjoy an afternoon filled with dance on the DIA’s lawn. Featuring performances from local, national, and international talent curated for family audiences, Summer Stage will prove to be a festival highlight for the whole family.
College Fair | 2:30 P.M. | Lawn
Our College Fair will bring College faculty from esteemed institutions to DDCF to network with high school students. This is a chance for aspiring college students to introduce themselves, ask any questions, get application and audition information and more!
This year, our College Networking Event will feature University of Michigan, Western Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, Oakland University, Alma College, Colorado State University, and Wayne State University. Come see current students from these institutions perform in our College Showcase!
COLLEGE SHOWCASE + CHOREOGRAPHERS SHOWCASE II | 7:30 P.M. | Detroit Film Theatre
The latest venture taken on by DDCF, the College Showcase, looks to give unique performance opportunities to the college-level dancer and choreographer. Paired with Choreographers Showcase, these showcases allow artists to share what they have been working on. These performances represent the exceptional work of local, national, and international dancers.
